Project Noah was started in 2010 and is backed by National Geographic. Their mission is to reconnect people with nature and preserve global biodiversity. Documenting the world’s animal kingdom is a huge task—and you can help with your mobile phone on one of your wildlife excursions.

Together we can create a map of the natural world and contribute to scientific research in the process. Check out the Caribbean Reef Octopus which was recently spotted in Puerto Rico.

Not into observing animals in their natural habitat? No problem: You can enjoy what others have spotted here.
